Created by Sir John Soane, one of Britain’s greatest architects, it was his family home as well as his private Museum. Soane’s collections – architectural fragments, Graeco-Roman marbles, casts, paintings, sculpture and furniture – are still arranged today as they were at the time of his death in 1837.
Situated on the north side of the largest public square in London, Lincoln’s Inn Fields, it is in the heart of central London.
