The Laban Building is a cutting-edge venue in the heart of South East London, just outside the lively, historical town centre of Maritime Greenwich. As the largest contemporary dance centre in the world, Laban primarily offers professional training to up-and-coming dancers, and now housed in a new RIBA Stirling Prize winning building, also offers its facilities for hire for inspirational events, functions and unique weddings. Designed by Herzog and de Meuron, the Pritzker Prize winning Swiss architects who also redeveloped the Tate Modern in London and designed the National Stadium or “Bird’s Nest” in Beijing (2008 Olympic Games), the building provides a breath-taking backdrop to your celebration and your wedding photography!
Laban has an exciting variety of spaces available both indoors and outdoors to accommodate your requirements. If you require musicians, dancers or singers to entertain your guests then the events team would be happy to help you find these from amongst their students at a very reasonable cost.
