The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple

A grand ancient Inn of Court, built between 1562 and 1573 and remaining virtually unchanged to this day having survived the Great Fire of London and both World Wars. The award winning gardens of Middle Temple Hall over look the river Thames and offer a peaceful haven from the bustle of central London. Surrounded by intricately manicured borders and expertly maintained lawns, a garden party or outdoor event is a spectacular occasion.

Located in the heart of London’s legal quarter, Middle Temple Hall is one of the four ancient Inns of Court.

Middle Temple continues to service the legal profession today, and also houses some of the most imposing event space in London.

The Hall at Middle Temple is one of the finest examples of an Elizabethan Hall in the country with a double hammer beam roof carved from the oak of Windsor Forest and an elaborately carved screen made in 1574. The traditional oak panelled walls are festooned with Coats of Arms and the impressive windows are made from heraldic glass memorials to notable Middle Templars. The Hall offers a dramatic backdrop for corporate receptions, formal dinners and wedding receptions accommodating up to 500 people. It can be configured in a wide variety of layouts to suit individual requirements.

The Bench Apartments comprise three additional rooms available for corporate and private events within Middle Temple Hall; the Parliament Chamber, Queen’s Room and Prince’s Room. Each with their own individual character, they offer the ideal setting for a theatre style meeting for up to 85 delegates or boardroom style for 22. The Queen’s Room is perfect for a private dinner party for up to 22 or for a larger occasion the Parliament Chamber accommodates 70. The Bench Apartments can also be used as an area for a drinks and canapé reception preceding a formal dinner in the Hall.

The historic buildings, cobbled streets and gas lighting of Middle Temple lend itself as a filming location whether it is the latest blockbuster, television advert, documentary or product launch.
