La Sophia restaurant is a relatively new addition to the Notting Hill area of London, serving well priced, high quality French & Mediterranean cuisine. Situated just a stone’s throw away from the trendy Portobello Road.
La Sophia is an elegant, charming, intimate, unique and attractive eatery & cocktail private bar.
The dining room & cocktail private bar is decked out in a cool funky Mediterranean style combining Arabesque, Italian and French influences. La Sophia has wonderfully high ceilings, smart wooden flooring and stylish furnishing. There is also a lounge like basement bar where diners can enjoy pre or post meal cocktails. Owner and Chef Ali heads up the La Sophia, kitchen and has created a fantastic menu which is surprisingly well priced considering the quality of the ingredients used. Chef Ali has culinary influences stretching from Holland, Switzerland, France, Tel Aviv and Canada.
Chef Ali has worked in the most prestigious restaurants and hotels in the world including one of Gordon Ramsey’s restaurants, Boxwood and the famous Ottolenghi in London.
