45 Millbank
Central London
One of London's best kept secrets in the heart of Westminster, a Grade II listed Georgian building with fantastic Edwardian interiors...
Once the officer’s mess and home of the Royal Army Medical Corps Headquarters, 45 Millbank opened as an events venue in 2007. Just steps away from the Tate Britain, with views across the Thames, this Grade II listed Georgian Building has restored Edwardian interiors with opulent paneling, swagged carvings and exquisite stucco work across three rooms. It retains many of its original features, including the elegant marbled floor entrance and noble staircase, this being the main focus leading to the reception rooms.
45 Millbank can be used for numerous events and offers a unique venue for weddings, conferences, business breakfasts, press launches, luncheons, corporate and private dinners to name but a few. Its two principal rooms, the Red Room and Banqueting Hall are licensed and offer perfect spaces to hold a wedding ceremony and reception.
With its beautiful interiors with opulent paneling, swagged carvings and exquisite stucco work across three rooms, an elegant marbled floor entrance and noble staircase 45 Millbank is suitable for a wide variety of events. In addition to excellent internal spaces, Number 45 Millbank also benefits from having a beautiful walled ornamental garden and a Portland stone paved courtyard with a Henry Moore Sculpture set in the middle of it. It provides the perfect ingredients for a summer drinks reception or stunning locations for photo or film shoots.
In addition to these two beautiful external spaces 45 Millbank also manages the superb Rootstein Hopkins Parade Ground.
The Rootstein Hopkins Parade Ground is a large square surrounded on three sides by buildings occupied by Chelsea College of Art and Design, with the fourth side opening directly onto Atterbury Street. It is a most extraordinary space, not just for its vastness – 3500 square metres, but also because it is in a unique location of being set right in the heart of Westminster.
Due to its scale and location the Rootstein Hopkins Parade Ground has enormous potential for hosting large-scale London-wide events. This newly refurbished outdoor space is now available to the art and design community and the corporate market as a space for exhibitions and events. It can accommodate a marquee for up to 1000 people. With power, water, wifi services and anchor fixing points for marquees the parade ground is the ideal location to hold specialist events.
45 Millbank operates an approved suppliers list of caterers’, florists, entertainment and production companies. The rooms are available to hire on a daily basis, alternatively you may wish to hire the venue for an exclusive reception at weekends or on Bank Holidays.
Hidden in the heart of Westminster, 45 Millbank really is one of London’s best kept secrets, so come and join the party today and see what it has to offer.
