Alphabet City

Beyond its own private entrance Alphabet City is a playground within a playground discreetly overlooking the main atrium at The O2.

The first floor offers stylish and informal dining and may be hired for private receptions and parties. The top floor opens in to a wide, open lounge with luxuriant and eclectic furnishings from comfortable velvet armchairs to oversized leather chesterfields. The smoky grey and black palette is shot through with the occasional funky colour. Add to this an extensive rock photography exhibition curated by Rock Archive and Alphabet City’s reputation as a destination venue for rock royalty and music legends performing at The O2 is ensured.

The lavish black long bar is a great focal point for receptions and smaller groups and parties can be accommodated in sections of the club on shared event nights. Alphabet City has great sound and visual facilities making it a hot spot for aftershow parties, launches, presentations, awards ceremonies, screenings or artist playbacks. The plush little stage is a great platform for intimate live music sessions, comedy or presentations and set up for both impromptu or programmed happenings. A world-class sound system supports a fully-equipped DJ booth and the floor-to-ceiling screens, discreetly hidden behind drapes, can be revealed for events requiring extra visual impact.

The drinks menu created by Head Bar Tender Damian Williams includes wine, champagne and premium spirits. Cocktails can be created especially for one-off events or select from the menu. House specials such as the deliciously scented Pasiflora garnished with an outrageous pineapple crisp make a fabulous welcome drink or, a meal in itself, the Alphabet City Bloody Mary topped off with a succulent giant prawn and a mouth-popping toffee-coated cherry tomato for dipping.

The party food and canapé menu created by executive chef Nick Cuadrado includes homemade pork scratchings with warm apple sauce, a cheeky take on the classic scotch egg and larger sharing party plates such as the Piggy Plank - a generous charcuterie board of executive proportions - as well as charming portable cheese cellars stocked with artisan cheeses, breads, fruit and pickles.

Attentive service from warm and friendly staff is just as one would expect from a members’ club. The events team are passionate about their work to ensure memorable, stand out events that, like the legends on the Alphabet City wall, are sure to go down in history.
