Livingstone Lodge

Situated on The African Experience – 100 acres of Kentish savannah where over 200 animals including giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland and ostrich roam free - the lodges and communal laapa overlook the animal’s watering hole. Located at the top of the hill, you are treated to truly spectacular panoramic views down the hillside, over the marshes, along the Kent coastline and over to France on the horizon.

Included as part of the package at Livingstone Lodge is a guided safari up to the accommodation with one of our resident rangers, who have many years experience of working with the animals – both here in the UK but also in Africa. During the safari, you ranger will share interesting facts and amusing stories about the animals you will pass including the rhinos, elephants and giraffes.

The safari winds itself through the animal park, around The African Experience and ends up at the lodges and laapa where your bags will be waiting for you. Taking time to relax and enjoy the views is a must, before heading into the communal laapa where one of our expert chefs will prepare your five course African feast on the open fire pit before your eyes. The rangers will stay for the evening providing you with ample opportunity to hear more of their fantastic stories.

Ten luxury heated tents – two with four poster beds – provide the overnight accommodation, and as you wake up to the sounds of the Serengeti, enjoy the breathtaking views from your own private balcony.

A single night experience, Livingstone Lodge is available to those aged nine and over. It is also available to book out exclusively for private functions, hen parties and corporate hospitality.
