St Martin-in-the-Fields

Central London

London's most famous church, combining glorious baroque and Georgian architecture with impeccable contemporary event space...

St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, has been part of the London skyline since 1726 and James Gibbs' stunning baroque architecture has been copied in churches all over the world. Not only in the architecture is it a trend setter. Some of history’s finest musicians, including Handel and Mozart, have performed at St Martin’s. The Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields was founded here by Sir Neville Marriner in 1958 and today visitors from all over the world can attend one of 350 classical concerts or jazz nights every year. Visitors can also enjoy a tour, a delicious meal, an exhibition and brass rubbing with all profits going back to the support the work of the church.

In 2010, the multi-award winning building project, the Renewal of St Martin-in-the-Fields was completed. Old spaces have been restored to their former Georgian glory and new spaces have been created to host events. Natural light now floods into the church and crypt and the whole site is fully accessible for the first time.

St Martin’s has spaces available for a range of events including high-profile receptions and banquets for up to 220, conferences, exhibitions, product launches or meetings. For the catering, St Martin’s can provide a range of freshly prepared food from homemade biscuits with tea and coffee to a gourmet three course dinner. All of this and a Trafalgar Square location makes St Martin’s the ideal central London events venue.
